Funny to still hear some people talk about how they "don't believe in climate change". When you're tapping the trees in January, will that be a sign that times are changing?

Depends where you live. It’s not truly over until you see buds on the twigs.

Where did you get that tap system?

Hammond lumber sells taps and tubes like that, or at least they have in years past. It’s cheaper online from somewhere like Leader Evaporator.

I’m up in Lincoln. I knew I was a little early, but temps were right and the maples had buds showing. We won’t be too far behind ya.

Yea Mainers will be tapping in December in a few years. So sad I hate winter now. Just warm/moist/muddy and miserable. Mud season has already started and will run for many months

This reminds me. I got lazy and left my jugs up from last year. Bet that sap has some kick to it by now.

I think I might have missed my chance to move the jugs while they were frozen. Maybe next year.
