Hey kid. You're in for a bumpy, fantastic ride. You haven't had a lot of experiences yet. Many days may be the worst of your life. Many moments may be the best.
Remember that everything is transitory, including pain and suffering.
Your emotions are a map to who you are. It may take you a long time to figure out that your emotions are valid. However, feeling something does not mean you have to act.
Remember to be grateful for what you have when you have it: Safety, security, love, food, health, friendship, wonder, joy.

Don't focus too hard on acquiring wealth, but also don't make the mistake of thinking that you can glide through life without a reasonable amount of money.
Don't put off doing things - we are not guaranteed tomorrow.
Take risks, and love deeply, even if it leads to hurt sometimes.

My parents were math teachers. I'm pretty sure they would tell me "We're already behind schedule, let's hit the books!"
