LPT: If driving in a snowstorm and your GPS suggests taking a faster route, don’t do it if it takes you off the Highway. Backroads are usually last to be cleared of snow and you could get stuck!

LPT: Do not fall for the whole pursue "working for your dream company" idea. LPT: Since April 1st is coming up. A good tip to live by is that everyone should be able to laugh at your prank at the end. If everyone ends up laughing at the person getting pranked, and they are just the punchline, chances are you're just being a jerk. Don't be a jerk.

LPT Your body is on autopilot a lot more than you realize. Everyone's autopilot is an idiot. Life's easier and you screw up less when you realize this, and think intentionally and take actions accordingly so the autopilot can't screw things up.

LPT: If you're buying a house still under construction, photograph everything before the sheetrock goes up. Knowing exactly where the pipes, wires, and ducts are may prove invaluable some day, and even if you never use them the next owner will appreciate it.
