I wish, for a change, my elderly relatives would take the initiative to send me a holiday message first. It seems they only send one in response to me sending one. Why doesn't it work both ways? Not trying to be snarky or selfish, just wondering why age matters when it comes to letting people know you're thinking of and care about them.
