If you need to coat your tongue at minimal heat then why are you eating food with heat at all?
How many restaurants that serve spicy foods are guaranteed to also have pesto or peanut butter?

If you want to be able to eat spicy food, just eat spicy food on a daily basis and you will get used to it.
I can eat more pepper than anybody I know, but if I take a break for a few weeks even black pepper seems too spicy.
