Just curious what age do you consider a cougar Vs milf.

Cougar: If she's 40 or older and she's looking for men that are 10 or more years younger than her, then she's a cougar.
MILF: Any woman that is middle-aged or older who has children and that much younger men find attractive enough to f**k.

Not so fast.. Cougars, by formal definition, are in their 40's or older, which includes women over 50. π
I'll agree with you on the second half of your reply regarding MILF's and hoping that the kids are at least old enough to be out of the house so as not to be an interference. π€

Any man, not just younger.
The "I" pronoun is the key to that meaning.

No such thing with 17 or 18 year old mothers being called MILF's. You're making it your own definition by stating that. Lol I suppose using your definition, that would also apply to even younger mothers, like 14 or 15, right? π€·π½ββοΈ No.
True on the actual meaning of the acronym. However, the formal definition means that the mother is actually middle-aged or older. That means a very young lady with children is NOT actually considered a MILF. Especially a minor. Check on the true definition of it. π
