Dr Lisa Cohen at MOSA in downtown silver spring (one block from metro). She was so kind plus excellent at extractions. i have dental anxiety and she was both understanding and kept true to her word to make the process painless.

It’s an estimate, but yeah. This isn’t really that unusual. American History was closed for two years due to renovations too and Air and Space had rolling closures over like 6 years. No structural issues I know of but this is the first renovation in the museum’s almost 50 year history. According to dcist they’re trying to modernize the building and especially switch up the entrances given attendance is way up.

I’d highly recommend Montgomery College’s Driver’s ed course. Offered at their Silver Spring/Takoma location, accessible via the downtown silver spring metro. Affordable and good quality (my instructor used to be a road test examiner). Is oriented for the MVA, but lots of overlap with DC laws so I don’t think that’s an issue. https://www.montgomerycollege.edu/workforce-development-continuing-education/transportation-safety/drivers-ed.html

Income taxes may be slightly lower in DC. I also found the DC rec department, pools, and parks easier to access than Montgomery county’s. A lot of MOCO amenities like that are car focused, which is a drag. You have several good park and rec options in georgetown. Also georgetown just has a bunch more going on than Chevy chase. And close to downtown.

Your best bet is to rent a spot from a private party (or really, sell your car and rent one when public transit doesn’t suffice). And yes it’s normal. You live in a big city, you can’t just assume you can store your property in public spaces for free.
