I like HD650 for gaming as well, but couldn't game with HE4XX, I had no idea where anything was with those.

I have a Planck and Preonic, but I'm so used to the planck that the extra row on Preonic bothers me. For a while I had the Planck at work and Preonic (with blank caps) at home, but now I work from home and use the Planck all the time, or the laptop keyboard if I go to the office occasionally.

I have tried these ones, immediately liked them, and I have wanted them ever since. I listen pretty much only to kpop girl groups, and these sounded amazing for the few minutes I was testing them. I still can't justify the price though but maybe I'll get them on sale one day...

Reply to Did anyone in this hobby ever stop buying new gear because they found what they were looking for? by sujanfloofens
I haven't tried all headphones, so I'm not even sure what I'm looking for xD But I haven't bought new gear (except a few cheap chi-fi IEMs) in a while, I have HD6XX with SDAC and Atom and Starfield with BTR5, and I'm pretty happy with this setup. I did get to try the Moondrop Variations the other day and immediately liked it, but I just can't justify the price. I could get a new larger monitor for that much...
I have sold two headphones (Beyerdynamic COP and HE4xx) because I bought Sony XM3 to replace the COP in the office and I didn't like HE4XX for gaming and they were too heavy for music. I also sold my old amp because it didn't go quiet enough.
Nowadays I just listen directly to Macbook speakers...

I like the USB mode and the microphone as well, and you can also use it as a Bluetooth receiver in the car or with normal powered speakers. If you only just want to listen to your phone, then a dongle is a much cheaper option.

Yeah I have issues like that as well, maybe drivers are crashing and i have to unplug it and plug it back in a few times and then it usually works. Or sometimes when I'm switching between BT and USB the sound starts stuttering a bit and I have to restart it. But for the most part it works fine.

Is that not the normal price? I paid $110 in early 2021. Really cool device, I use it daily.

Thorium. It's safer, easier to produce, doesn't require enrichment, and doesn't leave dangerous waste like uranium does. But thorium can't be used for nuclear weapons, that's why the government doesn't fund it.

You could, if you connect them to digital output (USB). You will bypass the builtin DAC if you use the 3.5mm input on the headphones and 3.5mm output on the motherboard - because that's already analogue signal.

Yeah gaming is not ideal, but I played the last few games with a gamepad anyway. Ans I still have the Preonic if I need it.
