Get pet insurance. Or put $100/mo aside just in case in 10 years the dog ends up eating some gravel. Two years after eating a safety pin.

Spadea is either off the charts willfully ignorant and angry or he’s a performance artist. It’s hard to tell some times.

Try commercial free sun radio out of Austin. You can stream it.

Came to say Columbia Trail as others have mentioned. It starts in High Bridge close to the train station there.

Bridgewater resident for 22 years. Solid schools, centrally located, varied neighborhoods (some new area, some older), centrally located …. Somerville is the defacto downtown. Housing for NJ is affordable. Politics wise it’s pretty much 50/50 or close to that.
Bedminster is kinda split into two - the super rich and then normal people. Land wise super rich have more. Population wise the normal people have it. There are solid schools here too. The Hills is huge.

The break even point for Uber vs parking keeps getting lower and lower. I think it’s at 3 days for me - three or more “parking days” and it’s cheaper to Uber.
I’ve used the parking spot lot a bunch of times. Definitely much cheaper but waiting for a shuttle is a pain. Also if it snows while you are away you’re digging out.

I wish it worked out better for me, honestly. I’d much rather sit on a train than drive.

From where I live it’s $30 RT for a 90 minute ride ride. I’m usually with my entire family. $150 RT for all of us not including any subway ride.
Or I can drive (45-60 min) to where I need to be. $15 toll, $20 gas, $50 for parking.
3+ people in my car and the car is cheaper.

I’m in Bridgewater. Multiple kids through the school district and we have been very happy here. I do wish at times it was more woodsy/remote (like Long Valley) but everything by is a trade off. You can get a very lovely house in your price range, and the schools are solid.

Nothing wrong with Mendham but it is pricey. What’s your house price range and how much house are you hoping that would get you ?
Edit: Mendham is known as a great town. Median house price is $775,000 but if that’s in your budget go for it.

Those are for families from out of town who are seeing all there is to see along the Rt 1&9 corridor - the wonderful shops, the attractions, the great restaurants and of course the nearby waterfront.
