I haven't had covid yet, even though literally everyone I know has by now. I've gotten 6 covid shots so far, which I like to think has helped me. When my 7yo had it, I should have had it. He literally puked all over me, we slept on the couch together and shared the same drinks/straws but I never tested positive or had any symptoms.
Anyway, I think my son and I could have had it back in Feb 2020. We were both felt like death for a week. It was like the flu but omg so much worse. Right after we got better, covid news started to come out. But my SO never got sick, but he also avoided us like we had the plague.

Reply to I get to experience -30 degrees for the first time this coming Saturday. Do I need to be concerned with my well freezing? It’s a standard drilled well with casing and cap. Any advise from my northern friends? Thanks! by MicasNoggin
You have a full heated basement, you should be just fine. If you were in a trailer or on a slab you could have more to worry about. It hasn't been cold enough to freeze deeply and this weekend isn't going to flash freeze the ground that much. In the 30 yrs I've owned houses in my mid coast town, the only one to ever freeze up was on a slab and the water in pipe came to the slab and was just barely under the ground where it met the house and froze ONCE in the 10 years I had it. Now I have a full heated basement plus a woodstove down there, so I'm not phased by the cold now. I just hate when the power is out and we all have to sleep in the living room lol. Gotta get my house plug hooked up for my generator.

I use 1lb of groud pork, garlic, onion and lots of seasoning all cooked together and put that down first. Then layer 1 can of creamed and 1 can whole kernel over that. I used to top it off with buttery potatoes but we switched to tater tots and cheese. I cook the tots in the oven while I prep the meat. Like them up to cover the entire pie, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and bake. We haven't gone back to potatoes yet.

I learned this years ago when on vacation. I ordered it from a restaurant, not realizing, and I couldn't eat it. I use ground pork in mjne.

I'm not riding anyone's ass in the snow, that's for sure. I'm usually way down the line behind everyone else. A lot of people do pull off, but many just go 10 to 20mph for 20 miles.
vgallant t1_j45x7nf wrote
My favorite is that one person going 20mph with 15 cars lined up behind them. Pull the fuck over and let them go around you! I drove home from belfast last night and yeah, the roads were covered but not fly off the road bad, even on the hills on rt 7. I'm sure it was bad in other places.
My husband went out at 11pm in a tanker full of fuel, to Machias. The people going 20mph are a royal pita for loaded trucks trying to make it anywhere too, if they don't pull over.

It means the riders are sitting side-by-side. Not like on a fourwheeler where they sit one in front of the other.
His was a 2020 yamaha, and they had 4 people inside. So, I'm going to assume it was a larger one, like the one in the background on this page https://www.yamahamotorsports.com/utility-side-by-side

Same here, I've picked up so many hitchhikers in maine, and it usually turns out we have mutual friends or know the same people. One guy was walking from the lobster boat in Thomaston to bucksport, he was walking in searsport when I picked him up and took him to the Verona Bridge.
I've never had a single issue with any of them. I'd say maybe 20 people over the last 15years. They have all just been so happy to have a ride and get off their feet. My husband hates it only because I'm a woman, but he also knows I'm perfectly capable of handling myself and survived before he came around.

Reply to Augusta police cruiser was unlocked and running, with AR-15 rifle inside, when stolen, according to court documents by benpinette
When we very first heard about the cruiser being stolen, I asked my husband "Don't they keep weapons in there? What if he decided to go on a shooting spree with PD weapons?" Who would be responsible for that? If we were to leave our vehicles unlocked with weapons inside and someone got a hold of them and killed someone, we would be responsible for leaving a weapon unsecured.
Luckily he didn't go that route but it was my first thought.

I had to go gather ones people left along the road sides of our fields so I don't find the metal in a hay bale. Where I live, all I see up are republican signs. Lepage signs are the most common one.
