Reply to LPT Request - how to respond to people who constantly try to one-up you and diminish your accomplishments? by idkifik
Sometimes what feels like an attempted one-up is really just someone trying to find common ground and encouragement. Of course you're the judge, but just make sure your own insecurity isn't distorting your view of the world.

For real, supposedly there is some kind of neurological feedback loop between face and emotions. Like how they say smiling actually makes you feel happier. I've heard Botox interferes with this

I prefer all metal for health reasons too (also because I drink hot liquids I want to keep insulated)

I guess as long as it's all cosmetic it doesn't matter

my partner and I love our wide mouth stainless steel kleen kanteen bottles (one TK Wide and 2 very old classic styles) - they do get dented when dropped but they still insulate without leaks or drips and the no-plastic-touching-the-liquid-including-the-cap and insulating for hot and cold is great.
I like to put a silicone wristband/bracelets (often given out for free to promote events, like the yellow "live strong" ones that were popular a while ago) around the bottle to add some protection and grip!

Metal is going to get dented.

Someone tried to justify his transphobia to me as he was just protecting the safety of his young daughters... "What if a trans person tried to use the women's bathroom to be a alone with one of them and sexually assault one!?" The argument doesn't make any sense... I sent him the stats from RAAIN and that sobered him up a bit.
It's sad, it's easier to focus on the boogieman than the monsters hiding in plain sight.

I bought several AA/AAA battery powered digital alarm clocks off Amazon in the past 5 years and believe it or not they don't keep time! Some run fast, some run slow, which I didn't think was possible for digital clocks. I wish I had an old school alarm clock as shared recently.

If this is a recent thing, he might want to get a basic check-up, excess sweating/oil production could be a sign of a hormonal issue. You linked it to shaving head but why was head shaved? Because of overheating?
