The entire US is looking at having a shortage of 100k + doctors by 2030. (Need to double check numbers but it's what I recall.)

So it's definitely an issue overall. Consider looking in the surrounding towns too. Or call Umass memorial or reliant to see availability

The Downeaster line isn't too great for day trips to Portland, you're almost better off just driving. But everything in New England is closer than it seems, (depending on traffic). You might not have Portland, but Northampton has great access to a lot of the scenic little towns in southern Vermont and easy access to the white and green mountains.

This was around 1pm. It was moving, there weren't many parking spaces available but people were coming in at about the same rate.

There was someone at the entrance asking which town you were from. Every checkout was open and they even had temporary checkouts set up.

It looks like they're trying to compete with Wegmans and Total Wine. This location has the largest prepared food section I've seen. The liquor store was also really well stocked and pretty similar to the one in Waltham.

I only grabbed a few items but prices were the same as the other market baskets, so no changes there!

So market basket's entire thing is "more for your dollar." Item prices are set to the same at all of their stores so you know what you're getting from place to place. Their very good about being well stocked and having a mix of high quality and good value foods.

The main reason I can think of why they're in Shrewsbury and not Worcester is taxes and shrewsbury being a central location for Boroughs, Grafton, and Worcester. (So 200k in worcester but there's also about 200k in all of those other towns combined)

Many people in worcester are already driving 20 minutes North to Leominster or south to Oxford. So driving 10 minutes west is easy enough.

Edit: there are about 100k in those towns combined not 200k

This was the main argument for the Senate race. The City council could have another candidate could over take Colorio's voting number. Petty's prominence is inflated by the Mayoral designation. So without him running things could lead to a Colorio upset, but it also could lead to someone else getting some more of the limelight decreasing Colorio's overall vote.
