Hi fellow musician. Blue Bond and DiPinto are most folks’ go-to places. But honestly, lots of stuff changes hands through FB marketplace. And if you’ve got a car, Guitar Center in Cherry Hill is one of the best ones I’ve been to. There’s a so-so Sam Ash in the same shopping center.

You, Passyunk Square and EPX are probably the most kid friendly neighborhoods in the city that don’t cost a fortune. Also the Rec center is a wonderful resource—and they just installed a sprayground!

I can tell you that any big event like this, it will be a private, ticketed event. They’ll have a bar and screen set up outside, but indoors will be wrist band only. Despite that, they’re very friendly and the neighborhood likes them a lot. I’ve never seen or heard of any serious issues there, but they’ve been known to hire private security. If they anticipate big crowds (there will be like 200-300 people there) they’ll have porta-potties set up outside. Even if you can’t get a wrist band, you can probably just BYO and blend in with the crowd. I’m sure someone will invite you inside eventually.

You need a metal fabricator because the dimensions are not standardized. You could also just pick up a wrought iron gate from Lowe’s, but some additional framing would be needed to ensure a fit. The coat range can be pretty wide depending on what your looking for I’d say $700-$3k

If someone in your family is disabled, you can now purchase an access card for like $60, granting you $2 admission to a bunch of museums and stuff.

For all the other readers: you need to pass a standardized test called the Keystone to graduate high school.
For OP: it just changed this year. Act 158 allows for multiple “pathways” toward graduation. Passing the Keystones is one. Other pathways include attaining a professional certification, a project, and a variety of other combinations.

Reply to Music venue production gigs? by TMoftheDay
Same as another poster said, most gigs are union. TLA is currently hiring but it’s an IATSE gig. If you want more temp/seasonal stuff, look to other large institutions. Villanova is currently hiring two part time control room gigs for the sports facility. Live! Is perpetually hiring, as are the casinos. There are also non union theaters in Wilmington if you want to head down there. Not exactly the answers you’re looking for, but a gig’s a gig this time of year.

You should check out Bok on south Philly. Some of the decent sized units are ~$1200/month.
