I bought a pair last year and the seam in the back ripped apart within literally 3 wears.
ETA: my partner has a pair of docs he bought about 5 years ago now that are still going strong. To me, the quality seems kind of all over the place, but I’m sure you can them repaired or replaced by the store you bought them at.

I thrift mine usually. I’ve had luck with Land’s End, Northface (old ones), Red Head, and wool in general!

Wooden clothespins have always been my go-to. I buy them used and they last a looooong time!
