I've seen this coming for a long time. If foreign countries have no qualms meddling in politics in foreign countries via SoME bots, why would they stop at fake videos with fake voices? And it doesn't even have to be foreign actors meddling in elections. We see more and more attempts of phishing via emails, phone calls and messages. And unless we see serious measures to have fake videos, voices and photos marked as being fake, the consequences could be chaos in so many areas that it could pose a threat to entire communities.

I like your ideas. Especially the first one is something I've given some thought in the last couple of years. If everybody had a pod they could sit in, and all pods were connected to a central AI managed network, everybody could go anywhere from their home, and would be able to use the transport time effectively, and everyone would be safe. So a central pod-network, a bicycle path-system and a pedestrian walk-system, all 3 of them seperated from each other, and everybody would be happy.

Just another theatre to vie for dominance, thus wealth and power.

As for ways to go, that wouldn't be a bad one.

However doomy your post sounds, I'm afraid it's going to be pretty close to the truth. People will go far for water.
