I had to get into the message settings on my old pixel and un-enable chat. That worked for me.

I got tired of my big pixel 6 and went with a iPhone 13 mini. Since Apple claims they’re not going to make anymore mini’s I thought I would probably go with an SE next time. But now Apple claims the next SE in 2024 will be like the iPhone X or XR. I’m so disappointed. We’re in a minority.
