I've been in this scenario twice and both times ended up hiring a guy with a pickup off Craigslist. Alternatively, I believe you can legally use the dump in MD as long as someone in the car with you at the time is a Maryland resident

I recently had a 311 request that actually resulted in them ticketing the person I called for, which was honestly shocking as in the past they've just closed the ticket with no explanation.

Observant paying customer here. From what I've seen the easiest method is to push open the handicapped gate.

With that said, paying customers would strongly prefer that you get your knees in order and long jump the gate. It provides us with something to look at it while being on an otherwise boring commute.

That's fair - they could probably just increase the volume of the announcements and increase the frequency at no cost. As far as the signage goes I've only noticed the newer signs about fare evasion enforcement.

Changing people's behavior is always difficult - some people don't know they are being inconsiderate and some just don't care, which makes the return on investment of any change very low and easy to dismiss. This is why speed bumps are needed - because the limits are ignored.

My half-assed solution: have one guy with a megaphone at every station to act as a hall monitor - basically just yell at everyone to stand to the right and not cause a ruckus.

>What resources?

In this context, the resources I'm referring to is money. Spending any money to solve the issue you are complaining about would be wasteful given all of the other, more serious issues.

>How does ANY of this take away from “addressing the issues of the metro?”

You can only spend the money once, so spending it on something minor would potentially take away money that could be spent on a more serious issue.

>I don’t know how to inspect electrical wiring on rail cars. I don’t know how to fix the 7000 trains.

That's understandable. I don't think the guys they hired know either.

You can potentially report it, but without a video they definitely won't do anything about it. Also, if you do have a video, they probably won't do anything about it.

Its definitely been getting worse. It's rare that I drive anywhere in the city without witnessing something outrageously dangerous from a driver. It seems like it's a pretty bad combination of drivers that genuinely don't give a shit at all, and drivers so unaware that it could be considered malicious.

I suggest car cameras and driving like you don't wanna die. That's what I do
