It’s not law yet. The outrageous number of comments in here from people thinking passed the house means it’s law is honestly terrifying. You people have absolutely no concept of the very basic principles of how government works. This is shit you learn in elementary school. This is shit that’s in the news every single day. How do you not understand how laws are made?

New Hampshire has passed it several times and the Governor vetoed it every time. This has only passed the house. It’s not even to the governor yet.

Reply to You can sue a company for false advertising, but you can’t sue a politician for lying on the campaign trail by [deleted]
False advertising is a civil dispute between two competing businesses. You can only sue for false advertising to recoup monetary loses caused by a competitor’s false claims. As an example, you own a pizza shop and make 30” pizzas. The guy across the street who makes 20” pizzas puts up a sign that says “We have the biggest pizzas in town.” You can sue and prove they used a false claim to gain a competitive advantage. That’s what false advertising is. You as an individual or consumer can’t do shit about it.

That’s it? Wow you people have completely taken that out of context. This is actually making me mad now.
First he said the song sounded weird to him because it was his song being played differently. Then he said after seeing the video, it didn’t sound like his anymore. He’s saying “it wasn’t my song anymore” meaning he wasn’t hearing his song being played differently; he was hearing a completely different song. How you got that he meant the song belonged to Cash now, I have no idea. That’s completely crazy.

That article doesn’t provide a source. It simply says that he said it without saying when or where he said it or linking to a source. If you even read the actual article about the interview that article links to, he says the opposite. He says when he was initially asked if Cash could cover one of his songs, he was honored. But then when he heard Hurt, because he didn’t know which song he was going to do, it felt invasive.

If it only takes five seconds, then you should be able to easily provide a source. But I’m willing to bet you can’t.

I’ve looked for an actual source for that quote and I can’t find one. That article even says he said it but doesn’t provide a source. Without a source, it’s no better than a Reddit comment claiming he said it.

No he didn’t. Here’s what he actually said.
>"I listened to it and it was very strange. It was this other person inhabiting my most personal song. I'd known where I was when I wrote it. I know what I was thinking about. I know how I felt. Hearing it was like someone kissing your girlfriend. It felt invasive."

Someone says this in every thread about this song, but I’ve never seen a single source. Here’s a source of something Trent actually said, though.

Lol it makes a very clear distinction between the two and describes a no hitter thrown by one pitcher. Then it goes on to describe what a combined no hitter is. They are two different things you fucking moron.

Right. A no hitter and a combined no hitter are different things. Are they not? This is a combined no hitter. Not a no hitter.

A combined no hitter and a no hitter aren’t the same. There is obviously an enormous difference. So why does the headline call it a no hitter when it’s not?
mynewnameonhere t1_iuvhhs4 wrote
So I guess they’ve gone and changed the definition of a no-hitter since nobody pitches compete games anymore. Don Larsen did it himself. That’s not even comparable to 4 different pitchers doing it. You threw 1 hitless inning and you get credit for a no-hitter? Woopty fucking doo.

Are you trolling? A map where white=brown, black=red, asian=white, Native American=yellow, and Indian=blue is objectively more difficult to read. You have to either study and memorize the whole key, which is completely random, or continuously refer back and forth to the map and key every time you want to know what something is. There is no other way. And then you want to mix up the colors every time?
In comparison, if you use white=white, black=black, Asian=yellow, Native American=red, and Indian=brown, everyone instantly knows what everything is. You don’t even need a key. It’s a universal language that’s immediately understood by everyone and it’s a standard used across every visual representation of race.

Why? It drives me nuts when people go out of their way to mix up the colors. Everyone knows what they should be. Everyone knows why you didn’t make them that. It’s unnecessarily confusing. So why not just do it? If the color of a dot on a map offends you, you need to grow a fucking backbone.
