I don’t understand Black Country New Road. Everyone raves about how they’re the next best prog jazz rock band or whatever and their new album is historical but I listened to it and it’s just boring.

I feel like it might be the same as her last two albums, but if she can switch up her style and start incorporating other genres and maybe add some fun guest artists she can definitely make an AOTY. One can only hope

I’m not and never have been a fan of country/folk stuff but I just listened to the new Big Thief album and I must admit, it’s now one of my favorite albums of the years

Reply to Best concert experiences by Frostyscreen1010
I would have to say all of my best concert experiences happened this year. But one that stands out is meeting my favorite band ever DIIV at their concert two days after freaking out at a Deadmau5 show on molly. It was a very surreal experience. I was very happy to meet them but also felt nothing at the same time because I was completely out of serotonin I guess.

Reply to Who's been one of your favorite bands for the longest time? by KDLG328
Tame Impala
I remember first hearing about them back in high school in 2015 but not really understanding the name so I didn’t think much of them. Then later that year I heard “Eventually” for the first time and absolutely loved it. I then became friends with some people who were also fans of Tame Impala and they showed me Innerspeaker, Lonerism, and I just feel in love with the entire sound and vibes that came from it. I think Kevin Parker is a true genius at creating such fun psychedelic rock/pop of the modern era, and to this day Innerspeaker and Currents are two of my favorite albums of all time! There’s not one song that I don’t enjoy from the project and I’ve also seen Tame and the band 4 times since 2016 and I’m hoping I get to see them all for a 5th time whenever the time comes!
