Reply to Touching the Liberty Bell by z7q2
I touched it on a trip in the 80s or 90s.
The last time I visited, in the early 2000s, they had walled it all off and made me take off my outer shirt, go through a metal detector and get wanded down to see it.
Something about that experience really captured the state of fear and liberty in post-9/11 America.

I’m in Bucks too and pay $226/quarter for water and sewer for a family of six. I’m so glad the Aqua deal was squashed.

They’ve been in control for years, and instead of fixing the darned roads, replacing bridges and keeping the state humming, they waste time trying to outlaw abortion, defund Philly services, overthrow electoral results, etc.

Reply to Does a 12 week old baby qualify as an excuse from jury duty? by CactusCandles
Not all women can pump. Not all breastfed babies will take a bottle. Not all families can afford childcare for jury duty. Email them back that you cannot afford childcare, so you will bring the baby. If you aren’t excused, pack the baby along and breastfeed in the jury waiting room.
