My guess is the covid exodus from nyc means the property value versus 2018 has exploded. I know I was house shopping during the covid years and the market was absolute bananas. The house we got had 2 over asking offers on it the day it hit the market, supposedly one of which was sight-unseen.

So yeah, the good news is your house is worth a lot more now.

I worked in schools for the pandemic and let me tell you these poor kids were so traumatized by the masks. Everyday we'd have dozens just breaking down in tears, tearing impotently at the paper masks we locked to their faces, gasping for air as they couldn't bring in enough oxygen.

Oh wait, there were almost no issue at all. (In fact the only recurring issue I witnessed was one kid kept eating his masks so we had to get good cloth ones for him and they'd only last a week or so)

What if you're the reason for the lock down, and you're just trying to get us to let our guard down?!

My takeaway is this person wants stamford to grow up as a city, and is insanely frustrated at the fierce opposition people have to any change whatsoever.
