> its just philosobabble
To translate into a more specific argument: this debate operates solely within the realm of metaphysics which is completely detached from the real world material issues tied up in the social construct of personhood. This means that debate on this matter will not reveal applicable wisdom to the real world problems that the concept of personhood relates to. This then makes the reader question what is the purpose of spending time having this conversation.

It was almost certainly always like that, and changing laws requires the people to vote for change. Remember, Pennsylvania is a pretty conservative state.

I can't believe you have to be told this, but this is not protected by the first amendment and indeed a form of child abuse.
Edit: shockingly this guy is a libertarian lol

Reply to comment by nlewis4 in Bacteria that break down nicotine found in the guts of mice by Sorin61
Well, kinda, but the nitrosamine in tobacco is a big part of what causes cancer. That's why cannabis gets your lungs tarry which can lead to COPD and emphysema, but doesn't typically lead to cancer. It's also why vaping nicotine, while not harmless, is not as bad for your body as smoking cigarettes.
A lot of this nuance gets lost among the ads.

Hijacking this comment to say that's not what the article is talking about. These are normal plastic chips, but imagine if at a recycling facility they could use spores to biodegrade away the plastics and then recycle the metals.

Their food is what you get if a mediocre bakery tripled the salt in all of their recipes. Just go Google an actual fucking bakery in your town.
