Aww, so nice! In her younger years when she could hike, our pup would stop and enjoy the view, too! One of her favorites was Deception Pass where she would insist on stopping to enjoy looking down at the water near Lighthouse Point. May you and Whiskey have many years of hikes ahead of you!

People have posted about the financial side of things with good advice. I just wanted to add that Western Washington is quite large and there are many communities that are far less expensive than the Seattle area.
