Ok fine - yes we're all in grave danger and you should evacuate immediately. Is that what you wanted to hear?

Ok, I know this is minor, but what's up with this "the moment" trend in clickbait? It's everywhere. Could you just write"Video captures a multi-story building collapsing..."? Adding "the moment" to every headline is superfluous.

These aren't all Smithsonians, but my faves are the Botanic Gardens, Natural History, American History, African American, the National Gallery and the Renwick. If you like planes, hitting the Udvar Hazy museum is worth the drive.
I'd say skip the American Indian Museum (which makes me sound terrible, I know, but the museum is 2/3rds gift shop and cafeteria), the Air and Space (it's under construction and only a few exhibits are open atm), and the Smithsonian Castle (cool building but the contents are generally lame).

Yes, definitely. You might not be able to hit every nook and cranny, but you will absolutely be able to hit the main attractions at the large museums in a week.

Real talk tho - if you hear jets flying over and think "omg another 9/11" rather than "must be a missing man formation" you might want to talk to a therapist.

I'd try St. Aslem for dinner. Nice stakehouse with some good plant based options and (if I recall correctly) some good whiskey.
If you really want to lean into the whiskey thing, Jack Rose is one of the best whiskey bars in the country. The food is just ok, but the whiskey selection is unparalleled.
For more options, Washingtonian just dropped a massive list of the best restaurants in DC. Most, but not all of it is higher end. I've been to 30ish places on the list and they're all excellent.
