Definitely the East Side of Providence. Wayland Square is great and is walkable without the gritty city vibes. Wealthy, but more young professionals, families, retirees than College Hill.

I would say the East Side of Providence. Wayland Square area has a decent amount of families and is walkable to a few parks. Also walkable to grocery stores, restaurants, parks, etc. There are also part-time preschools that you can walk to as well. Depending on traffic, 10-15 minutes to the hospital.

Source: we moved there with a newborn and had our second child on the East Side. We lived off Butler Ave. We moved to the suburbs for better schools but really miss the East Side.

Went yesterday mid-day and it wasn’t busy. The parking lot is big and way less chaotic than Warwick. It is laid out the same as Warwick which is also nice. I couldn’t find two products I normally get in Warwick (frozen lemon bars and the frozen macarons), not sure if they were just out or they don’t carry it.

I think check-our was organized a bit better than Warwick and it went really fast. Employees were nice as usual. I’m probably more likely to go to TJs more often since it is less of hassle than going from the east bay to Warwick.

We liked Cadence Academy in Seekonk. Our oldest went there from 11 months to 22 months before we got an au pair when our second was born. Back then (2020) it was like $1,600 a month. Before Cadence Academy we went to Bright Horizons in Providence which was wonderful but a lot more inconvenient to get to. I think that was like $2,000 a month (2018-2019).
