Rofl! So true! I looked into for awhile. The SS4A grants we're either study or implementation grants. Good news is that This is an implementation grant. And afaict the Great Streets initiative is the backbone of the grant. But if you look carefully at what the grant is funding you quickly observe that the Hope Street trail is omitted and the South Water trail is reconfigured. So it looks like a stripped down Great Streets proposal

sounds like a homeowner complaining about home-ownership.

everything youre describing is exactly what renters deal with with their landlords.

Essentially, pvd is the landlord to your property, which, i mean, is fair? imho

the CIC building has coworking space. Its $300/mo for the cheapest membership and goes up from there. Its a wicked good deal based on the fringe benefits you get as a member there. Deff worth looking into. Source: I have a friend who is a lawyer who practices out of space there.

Damn dude. Fwiw, it sounds like youre doing the best job possible. I'm embarrassed to admit that if I were in your situation Im not positive I'd be strong as you, i could cave-in just like your wife. I feel for you though, wife and I have a 2 month old but you're right that I can't truly understand how rough it's been for you and your wife. But in my world my wife and me's teamwork has been pivotal. Your son will always have autism but you could work on the teamwork in your marriage. Easier said than done, I know, but at least, cut yourself some slack. You're doing a bangup job, better than most people could.

Biladeau is the property manager and they made it seem like they'd be doing me a favor to get us a 2nd parking spot. They were saying landlords need to provide ''sufficient'' parking for the number of tenants so we were only guaranteed 1 off-street spot, but that if we applied for a street-parking permit they would reimburse us.

The whole arrangement seemed off-the-books so i avoided it.

2br apt east side, 1600$ mo, comes with 1 parking spot. If you want a second one property manager will pay for a street parking pass. They know thats illegal but thats their offer. (we didnt need a 2nd parking spot so we declined)

The vast majority of Streets has side walks on both sides, car lanes on both sides and parking on both sides.

As a bicycler I know I'm in a minority, but minority rights are important. Being able to travel safely seems like a right, no?

It's just hard and frustrating that there is one discontinuous bike lane to get across town and to see the mayor go after them in his first 4 topics seems like the wrong direction for a brand new administration

From projo article during primary:

"However, Smiley added that he feels construction should be done "in a way that makes sense so that we’re not promptly ripping it up again, which happens all too often."

Like Cuervo, Smiley hinted at the need for adequate communications surrounding the city's work.

"Nobody likes feeling like they were surprised," he said. "Nobody likes feeling like it happened overnight or that it was done over their objections."

During primary race/In this interview his responses were pro great streets initiative. Now.. not so much
