RI does have that one light rail line (or maybe BRT) in a proposed future transit plan… but it’s running in the same direction as the NEC so it seems a tad redundant, no?
Would an East-west running line make a bit more sense? (maybe utilize the old tunnel under college hill), and take a load off of i195 and Douglass/ smith street
We will get a bike trail over the new red bridge, as with many new RIDOT projects so that’s a good step at least.
Because we here in the US decided that we’re going to invest in only the most inefficient and dangerous way to get around that is subject to human emotion and flaws.
No trains and bikes, thats not in the best interest of the Oil lobbyists.
Now shut up and get back in your car.
At the end of the day we get some fancy a** upscale building that only the 1% can afford. 80% of these units are at market rate which means super expensive.
