My 2018 Accord has auto lights and auto wipers.. when it rains, the wipers go automatically. As soon as wipers start going, the lights will go on.

When it doesn't rain, the lights come on when it's dusk or darker.

But my wife's Subaru 2019 doesn't have auto wipers even though it's the big end model. I think they added that in 2021 or 2022.

So yeah, all little differences in the detail.

I thought the law that just passed forces states to recognize marriages that were performed in any other state.

Once Obergefell v. Hodges falls, and I will bet good money that it will (sadly!), many states fall back on their ban on same-sex marriage.

And then we're back to having to marry in a different state if it's same-sex.

Yes. I too have a cat, and always had rescues. I have my own house so I can afford making the choice to not declaw.

Some people give loving homes but their landlord absolutely demands front de-clawing. I mean, the poster above me describes the situation.

Now, you can take an absolute stance and say de-clawing must never be done. OK, roll with that, said poster I just referred to, who seems to be giving two cats an awesome life, he then should have no cats because well, he doesn't own his home and the rules don't comply with your demands.

So the cats may never be adopted and live in the shelter until they die or are destroyed. Well done.

My advice, get off the hard-and-fast rules. Life's never like that.

And don't.. do NOT tell me cats don't get destroyed because they're not adopted quickly enough. This is very easy to find online.

You put in a lot of effort, and your cats appreciate you. What else can you want for as a cat, or owner? Good on you!

I really need to change my stance to "you should not unless you have to", I was much less flexible on that before.

I am not calling him moderate. I'm going simply by the one thing that's being talked about, that he conceded without drama.

He is an extremist and a snake oil salesman. So more the better that he bowed out with some humility. That doesn't mean I consider him moderate at all.

FWIW your statement makes good sense. He could instead have fanned the flames of his base with accusations, making things worse than they already are.
