Yes. I know what platinum pricing is.
The ticket seller and the artist split the mark up. That's not an assumption or a guess or speculation, it's written up in the contracts.

Because Ticketmaster (through Live Nation) has exclusive contracts with every major concert venue in North America that they and only they can sell tickets to concerts in those venues.
So if you want to do an arena show, you MUST let Ticketmaster sell your tickets.
And that means that no matter how shitty Ticketmaster service is, and no matter how much they gouge you for tickets, they're still the only game in town - it's literally impossible to compete.
Also, for things like those "platinum" tickets, the artist (or since it's KPOP, their label) gets most of that money. Part of the Ticketmaster model is that they allow artists to charge more for tickets by dressing up the increase as "Ticketmaster bullshit" so they absorb the blame and the artist's reputation doesn't take the hit.

Two things:
- Hospitals everywhere in Canada are short on staff and high on cases as COVID continues to be a thing and ...
- The flu is particularly bad this year, with a ton of pediatric patients eating up a lot of hospital beds and resources
So we have a double-hit of COVID season and flu season hitting at a time when hospital resources are already stretched beyond capacity - people are going to die.

At least the bad actors in the regulated financial markets have to work a bit harder at it. SBF was multi-tasking wire fraud with League of Legends.

Calling it now, he dies in custody in the Bahamas tonight.
Once the FTX collapse became unavoidable, about 500 million was transferred from FTX to the government of the Bahamas under very unusual circumstances. He's not making it back to the US.

Because the Republicans realised that it was a lot easier to convince people to vote against Democrats than for Republicans.
Tribalism is exactly what they want. The goal is to have their supporters reject anything that comes out of the mouths of Democrats solely on the basis that a Democrat said it.
The goal of the GOP is to turn the US into a one party state like Russia and Hungary. That's not an exaggeration, that's stone cold facts.

From what I've heard, FTX's books and corporate controls were such a mess that they're still in the process of trying to figure out where all the money went and how it got there. It's going to take a long time to figure out what the hell to even charge him with.

When the Hope Diamond was being transported from South Africa to England, the authorities published a detailed plan of how they were going to ensure it's security. The diamond would be kept in a locked strong-box, then carried on a combination of sea and rail, accompanied at all times by two armed guards.
Then they put the diamond in the post and mailed it.
