I was seven years old and I remember the moment my father told me on New Years morning like it was yesterday. I cried, he was my favorite player back then and I didn't even comprehend till I was older how much of a hero he was. I'm a little teary now thinking about that moment.

I remember going Christmas shopping there in the late 60's early 70's. I don't remember when they actually closed it in to make the mall. Seems to me when Century III opened up and the steel industry slowed down it hit Eastland hard. I still enjoyed the flea market and Beer World.

I remember watching that pilot on Love American Style on a Friday when I was a young kid. I think it was a year or two before Happy Days actually premiered.
