It always starts with “What kind of dog is that?” (I have a very large and unique looking dog) I can tell the difference between when someone is genuinely interested in my dog’s breed and when they’re trying to be too friendly.

You are correct. I’m at Barker all the time and I’m so sick of men trying to shoot their shot. Now, if we have consistent conversations at the park, that’s a different situation.
