I think part of the truth is that they were simply trying to mix all the hot topics in that area. Immigration, global warming, far right. It's like hitting every dopamine button of fear for people in Europe.
Yet reporters lack the statistical and scientific background to actually tie any of this together in a concrete way that means anything. The fact is anyone can interview the right people and put together some compelling story that may or may not have much to do with the actual reality for the average person there.
Such a huge percentage of news uses bad stats or shitty arguments that don't make a ton of sense. They should stick to straight basic facts rather than trying to weave these big narratives.

I think that story will be hard to write because many of the migrants they're taking in turn to crime or do not assimilate because of cultural differences. I personally don't see a great story coming from all of this. Just another cycle of human misery and change.

Because the economy was going up And tech was killing it because of all the demand from people doing work and school from home.
I work in tech and as frustrating as layoffs are they're part of the deal.
The average tech worker is finding a new job in 3 months. Many are also getting large severance packages. You don't really need to feel bad for us.
I make almost 200k and I wfh 3x days a week. Feel bad for people getting shitty wages and commuting not us

Have you looked at the stats? Tech companies hired way way more during covid than they've laid off so far.
Also they are beholden to the shareholder and have to pay big dividends or people will switch to bonds.
The government and fed create a lot of these situations. The corporations just do what is needed to win at the little game we've created.

I have depression and anxiety and they definitely ruined my life haha. So I think maybe I just didn't write things out clearly.
Although I've seemed to have gotten over both mostly finally. Took like 20 years though

They’re serious but also probably issues basically every prisoner has. So I’m not sure how he plans to get any preferential treatment with them

Well if you watch interviews with SBF he is shaking in all of them and pictures of his desk had prescriptions on them.
I do believe he has some anxiety, depression, ADD issues. But obviously those aren’t serious medical conditions that are going to kill you overnight
