Reply to Every new state union contract since 2021 has had a $3,000 bonus. How much has been spent? by cowperthwaite
Relatively common management strategy in labor negotiations is to use a signing bonus to get a lower % increase in salary.
Employees like it because it goes directly into their pocket. Management favors it because it does not compound over time in the way that a permanent bump in pay does.
What were the percentage increases in the new contracts relative to inflation?

National Grid sold the RI gas and electric utilities to PPL, which branded them RI Energy.

Pennsylvania Power and Light owns RI Energy, so as one would expect.

RI Energy is not a/k/a (also known as) National Grid.
National Grid sold its RI gas and electric business to PPL - Pennsylvania Power and Light - which has rebranded the RI utilities as RI Energy.

Reply to Where to live as a young family by br4532
Elmhurst is a great option in PVD for families with kids. We’ve been here for 10+ years and the number of young families continues to grow (at least in our corner of the neighborhood).
Biggest downside is schools. For elementary we’ve done parochial. Friends have done same, as well as some in public and others charter. Oldest is now at Classical

I’ve seen around RIC, Triggs for several years. Periodically a few will show up in Elmhurst.

Traffic will depend entirely on the street and time of day. Some are cut throughs, others are not.
As to noise I am a quarter mile from Lasalle(and also within a half mile of Mt Pleasant). I can here the public address announcer at Lasalle faintly if I am outdoors during a game.
If you want to message the address happen to share any insight I can provide.

Caveat, that I have not been since Covid, but for a parking ticket it used to be that you could show up on an earlier date and be heard. Makes no difference for the type of parking ticket - they never have the person who issued the ticket present anyway.
This does not hold true for other offenses heard in municipal court.

It’s not BS, if you follow the energy industry there have been predictions of a heating oil shortage since the summer.

Having lived in and still visiting the south regularly, Providence (like most of New England) does not have bbq that is comparable in terms of quality and price to what you would find in GA, NC or Memphis (never made it to KC).
If I were in your shoes, unless the hankering for BBQ is irresistible, I would seek out what PVD excels at and may not (again have not been) be as readily available in KC.
I saw that your partner does not love seafood, there are plenty of other options Portuguese, Bolivian/Peruvian, Italian…

You don’t get a cabana. Cabana rentals are separate and the wait list for those is longer than becoming a shareholder.
The pass is for parking.

It is not a Providence thing. Many cities face the exact same issue. Google a city (Boston, Philly, Baltimore, Miami, New York, Newark, Buffalo to name a few) and ATV or Dirt Bike. You will find news stories about the same kind of incidents.
