This is a bad idea! Most US surge protectors have a fuse that blows when provided 220V. The adapter most people have only changes the shape of the plug, not the voltage. A 3-way splitter cable usually doesn't have a fuse and can carry 220V. But the surge protector strip blew the fuse in the house every time I plugged it in.

Reply to LPT: When you’re traveling, don’t bring all of your charging cords individually. Get a surge protector and plug them all in to that, and plug the SP into the outlet at your destination. Saves a lot of annoyance trying to find an outlet for each cord around the room. by [deleted]
