This isnt a weaker strain though and that's kind of the problem. We have more defenses due to vaccination but vaccination works to prevent death, not long covid. Also this strain is more transmissible but no more detrimental than the previous ones, which doesnt mean less. Saying you're willing to bet is basically saying why bother to do preventive methods on a guess that it's not with no evidence to back it up.

The city already has this option through the VDP but it's for non union workers making above $75,000. You also only have 30 days upon hiring to enroll in it. I believe the contribution is at 8% or your salary. I think it should be an option for all. If you want a pension, stay. If not leave with 8%

It has nothing with anyone being able to do their job well or even delivering the service. It's all about us paying MTA and paying for carbs throughout the day and spend money on nonessentials. Nothing more. Nothing less. There has been no bigger "fuck you" to how much my job doesnt matter than that of the response of the Adams administration.

Accurate statement. The problem with the Dems is they play both to the very poor on economic policy and to the very rich on social issues. But this is also part of their problem in being able to be efficient. Republicans do somewhat of the same but are strong economically to the rich and socially to the poor. Both of the parties equally "other" in some form or fashion.
