lol, I read the italicized part again. So it's not the same as experiencing the original Pepe's, but it's definitely not "crap" like Sbarro or Dominoes.

I can see them expanding into Florida, but a random mall in Maryland? That surprised me

The crust was good, but the toppings slid off of the pie. The cheese wasn't completely baked into the pizza, almost like they didn't want to burn it too much. Having Foxon Park saved the experience. Overall not bad compared to what other places call pizza around here.

It's a little smaller than Mohegan but similar layout. This and Mohegan are the only "chain" Pepe's I've been to, so I don't know how the others compare.

Yes, the server told me every Pepe's location serves Foxon Park. That was the best surprise, considering I now live out of state and don't have to drive to CT to get it

Yes, the same beige colors looked depressing after a while. I was also amazed to learn, when I lived in Irvine, that all of the parking spaces in the shopping centers are painted green because the planners thought white parking lines looked ugly.

You would do very well living in Irvine CA where this would be a problem. Irvine has very strict building ordnances so most neighborhoods have the same cookie cutter look to them.

They have the best sweet tea outside of the South and the workers are friendly like Chick-Fil-A. I enjoy putting their chicken on top of their Texas Toast and smothering it with sauce. However, their drive-thru lines almost always back up into the street in other places I've had them. I hope Enfield has a plan for traffic control once it opens.

The main difference I saw in the menu was that the chain Pepe's use canned, not fresh clams in their pizzas.
