Did you mean Sakura in Laurel or Ellicott City? Either way I’ve been going there for years and I’ve always had a good experience.

If your taxes are simple I’d recommend using FreeTaxUSA, if you pay for deluxe (which is 7 or 8 dollars) you get unlimited amendments and their support system if you do happen to get audited

I go to Floyd’s 99 at the mall and I’ve seen kids getting their hair cut there. I’m sure this is something they’d be willing to set up for you

Oh it’s gonna be a shitshow. I’m gonna tune in tomorrow just to see what everyone else has been saying. I’ve been following this through the posts on this subreddit, I hate that Boyd is being pushed out, it seems like she was trying to make changes at CA.

So as a resident, how do I attend these CA meetings? Is it a zoom meeting or do I have to go somewhere in person?

Reply to Columbia vs Ellicott City? by BalancingAct247
They’re right next to each other, so regardless of where you end up you’ll be able to get to the other easily. Columbia does have the Columbia Association, which maintains a ton of walking paths and tot lots throughout the city, and has gyms and pool memberships for an additional fee. You pay an annual fee to CA each year based on value of your home (assuming you own your home)

I just moved out of a one bedroom condo, I used BGE’s budget billing and paid the same thing every month, and I paid $72 monthly. My condo fee covered water, gas and trash, and the apartment I lived in before the condo also covered those expenses as wel

Most people are going to tell you to stick with a local credit union, but if you do want a bank I’ve had a good experience with capital one and they have a teen account
