Peter Storm are good, leather with metal eyes. They're often on sale at millets, I paid about £55 for the high version (Forget the name, possibly Eskdale).

Reply to My grandpa's old watches. He got the left one for his 25th birthday in 1939 and the right one for his 50th birthday in 1964. Still running strong and frequently used by me. by denjohan
I'm trying to install values of "Buy quality and look after it" in my kids, my 8yo has a Casio Illuminator I got him about 2 years ago, wears it all day every day so in slightly worse condition than the above 😄 , but it's still working and most importantly will be part of his childhood memories. (I had Casio but strangely preferred plastic/resin. 🤷
More people need values like your Granddad. 👍

Reply to Advice on bath towels? by Causeable_Rhombus
The best towels are the old cotton ones. The ones that take a layer of skin off when you use them. There'll be some measurement about g/m^2 but you want a towel to be a mild rasp.
