Sadly I do not, I always kept my NJ drivers license. But you can use a foreign drivers license in the States for a bit.

I used to live in Toronto and I’m almost certain your taxes on cars are way higher then ours. It should be much cheaper to buy in the States.
I have a car in Jersey City but you really don’t need one. I would personally wait until you got here.

Naaa most of the casinos only have small smoking sections. Ocean for example is completely smoke free.

Honestly this might sound crazy, but Atlantic City with a infant is actually not bad. We took our baby down a couple times before he was mobile. All the casinos are designed for wheelchairs, so pushing a stroller around is super easy and the boardwalk is massive. Also all the casinos have pack and plays if you want one from guest services.

Wanna say 90% yes. But I haven’t been there for a minute. Used to work at a Japanese bank and would grab stuff for the expats in Manhattan that didn’t have cars.

Shitttt you responded too fast before I could edit. Go to mitsuwa in edgewater they have a whole pickle section called tsukemono, all sorts of this stuff. But yeah I think you can get them in jars or plastic.

It’s called “Takuan”. It’s pickled daikon
Edit; Go to mitsuwa in edgewater and look for the Tsukemono area, all sorts of crazy pickeled shit

She has a green light and is basically doing the speed limit. On what planet is that part reckless.

There’s a car parked on the corner in the cross walk, completely blocking her view from the way he was traveling. She could have been whacked out of her mind, we’ll never know. But the majority of drivers in this city would have tagged him.

You do bring up a good point. If I’m a Uber eats delivery guy, and some ambulance chasing lawyer offered me a chance at 1mill I’d take it.

She has the green light, and it wasn’t like it just turned green …it’s a good ten seconds. There’s also a car illegally parked in the crosswalk on the corner obstructing her view from where this clown was coming from. 95% of drivers would have tagged him.
Granted I would have slowed down when I saw the car parked in the cross walk because I’ve had plenty of morons pop out from behind them over the years. But everything leading up to her hitting the guy wasn’t really her fault at all.

This guy can fuck off too, it was 100% his fault. If she would have stopped, this wouldn’t even be an issue.

I would give Atlantic City a go. All of the casinos are very wheelchair friendly , and the boardwalk is huge and very easy to navigate.

Doesn’t take a long time if you have the right “connections”, but it is difficult to get in. For a Union gig they get paid very well.

So I can’t stand my neighbors that I share a wall with. If you’d like to volunteer to piss them off, I’ll go buy a keyboard and set it up to the surround sound. M-F I leave around 630am and I’m back around 6pm. They work from home so the louder the better.

No worries!
I totally agree about Hoboken having better nightlife. But Jersey City has a bunch of vegan places etc. Hoboken has a ton of fresh out of college kids and finance bros (I’m a finance bro), from the small info I gathered from OP, sounds like JC is more their speed.

Disagree on this one. While Hoboken is better for not having a car, everything else im reading screams JC. If you’re looking for a liberal / vegan friendly area…. JC trades way over Hoboken.
And not sure if you read their post, but they can’t live in NYC.

So I usually give management money for the maintenance guys (they used to do a pool) and then I would tip the doormen I liked individually.
I used to give them all money, and by mid January half of them would quit. Curious if this happens in other places, but the turnover in the buildings I’ve lived in was outrageous.

Dino and Harry’s in Hoboken. But if you’re from somewhere south, that’s like stopping at the 1 yard line instead of going into Manhattan.
