I agree the situation is dire right now. I drive down to Fairfield at least once a week to see friends and every time I do I get a little anxious because I know I’m going to have to deal with a handful of buffoons on the way there driving like absolute asshats. It’s not as bad as driving to NY or NJ but it’s getting close and that is saying something.

In my experience CT cops really don’t like to do their jobs so I doubt they would be looking for something like this to pull you over.

Yeah the cops here give actually 0 fucks about everything. If they pull someone over I usually assume that they were either going like 100 mph and swerving, the cop was just having a bad day and decided to take it out on someone, or their supervisor said that they need to meet their monthly quota so they have to do their job this week.

Yeah we had a better rail system in the 30s though lol. We have “precision scheduled railroading” to thank for that. And the reason this hasn’t been approved yet is because of rich nimbys in Greenwich.

Please! Just go with an alternative energy supplier such as constellation etc. You can get a fixed rate plan for 2 or 3 years. If you want to do solar more power to you but you DO NOT need to pay Eversource or UI for electricity generation (though you do need to pay them for “delivery fees”).

This is copium. But if you must live as close to Greenwich as possible then you may as well pay your own mortgage rather than 2x your landlord’s cause you’re going to be paying an inflated rate anyway.

Honestly doing 20 mph over as long as it is on the highway is fine as long as you aren’t being an asshole and swerving around people. On local roads absolutely it is a problem.
