It can still personally impact them and their families. There is no time to travel to a blue state when you are hemorrhaging from a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy.

Mount Vernon and Bolton Hill have the most galleries, art events (including artscape), and art stores. They’re also close to plenty of bars and restaurants. Bodegas aren’t really a thing here, but there are a few grocery stores.
They’re also where MICA and the BSA is located. So lots of artists and art students.
Only problem is they’re way more expensive than other neighborhoods.
