Reply to [OC] In the past four years, 19 states have enacted legislation or passed resolutions, awaiting approval by Congress, to make daylight saving permanent. by gridnews
All these people clamouring for permanent DST are going to regret it when they send their kids to school in the dark because the sun doesn't rise until 9:00.

Reply to LPT - save pictures of your house from summer time in case you need to sell in the winter by Neat-Beautiful-5505
Whenever I see out-of-season real estate pictures, I tend to assume that the house has been on the market since it looked like that outside.

Wait, reddit told me that air travel in the 70s was the height of luxury, with huge charcuterie boardds being wheeled down the aisle while everyone lounged spaciously with a drink in hand.

Reply to LPT Request - I've been a punching bag to my closest friends for years. What do I do? by germany_science_1
I used to be the whipping boy in my group. I turned it around on them started relentlessly giving it back to them as good as they gave it to me. It was glorious.
Stand up for yourself.

Reply to comment by Environmental-Sock52 in LPT Request: How do you find time to clean/maintain the clean house while working fulltime and other responsibilities? by MoonlightPotatoes
>you get efficient at it.
Quoted for emphasis. The first time I cleaned my house, it took the entire weekend. Within a few months, I was able to build a routine and it took it down to an afternoon. And with a good podcast, the time flies.

Reply to LPT: If you know you will be late for a meeting (personal or professional), it’s always better to inform the person in advance than trying to make it on time. by gorney_huy
I generally communicate three times when I know I'll be late
- When I first realize I'm going to be late
- At the time I was supposed to be there, to give an update on when I expect to be there
- When I know for sure what time I will be there (even if it hasn't changed from #2)
Obviously sometimes three times is overkill, depending on the situation.
