Y'know. That is a giant plot hole to be sure, and nothing I wondered about until now. But according to tradition, Muhammed was illiterate, so maybe he just lucked out with the latin M there?

I remember hearing that the reason some cats have an 'M' pattern on their head is because they were blessed by the prophet Mohammed.
