Equus Workforce Solutions should still have the federal contract. You might qualify for a job caseworker. If not, they have job networking events. They work with a lot of felons. I can’t find the actual office location in Richmond—used to be one on Cary and Cedar Fork Road-maybe they are still there. But try to google the main number to locate.

I live nowhere near there but called them a few months ago. They quoted me 18 months out waiting list for my infant. But it’s good to hear you like the teachers because I will definitely consider them down the road!

I called the Hanover location and they maybe had a spot for pre-k in the fall, but that’s pre-k and not for the younger ages. Most places were a year+ out.

Wow, I’m so impressed with your efforts. I’m sorry I have no advice, but I wanted to “bump” your post. I have family/friends who’ve struggled greatly with substance abuse issues and been to inpatient care but with insurance. Somebody mentioned Tucker’s and I wonder if there is a social worker you could talk to there. Have you tried posting in the greater VA area sub?

I have to agree with you. I have not bid since last summer, but I’ve kept an eye on ones I’ve quasi liked the in three different counties (not the city), and they’ve all gone over. Now, they didn’t go 50k over, but it was definitely a significant amount over. I keep reading articles like this, and I’m like, where? I guess not in the 5 zips we are looking.
