There's a class action lawsuit with Samsung fridges right now. They're dog shit, 0/10.

If anyone is reading this looking for a new fridge, stay the hell away from Samsung. I've heard LG is horrible too.

It's a shame, I like the Samsung fridges designs alot. They look modern and they're pretty great when they work. It's just they don't work well often....and they're a pain in the ass to work on

The freezer fan is whats causing the issue. Ice builds up and the freezer fan freezes up. Have to remove the ice maker and manually defrost it.

It's still a pain in my ass.

I never knew you were supposed to clean coils once per year tho. Will definitely be doing that with my new whirlpool I just got, hoping to squeeze 10+ years out of it and want to take care of it.

Fridges are expensive as hell these days, much like everything else. $1100 for a basic ass whirlpool fridge and my wallet is not happy with me, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Believe me, I'm well aware. Samsung fridge has been nothing but frustration. Never again.

I bought a whirlpool and hope to have it for 10+ years with little to no issues...

Unfortunately just moved out of the city last year so can't just alley dump it and let the scrappers have at it.

At this point I'm angry just looking at it, ready to have it gone ASAP lmao

Oh damn, I don't think I want that. I mean my thermostat is my thermostat lol.

System is relatively new, little over 5 years. Just had it inspected and all is well, functions as it should.

I really just think no insulation in the attic is killing me, especially in the winter. Will probably just go DIY this weekend and knock it out and see the results on electric bill and gauge it that way before calling a professional.

Honestly have never been in an Ikea, looks like the only ones are in Norfolk and Nova areas.

I've heard bad things tho, are they super cheap compressed MDF?

I'm fine with putting together furniture, but if it's that paper like MDF I wouldn't be too interested.

Would like to see/touch it in person to make sure it isn't like the $20 tables from Walmart lol.

I guess price isn't REALLY a huge concern, I'd rather pay a little extra and get some quality for a piece that will last indefinitely

It is, it's a bit of a strange layout, but the kitchen is tiny and that's the only place for a fridge lol

Not too concerned about it meeting code. Fridges have a filter, I live in an area with great water quality, and I'll eventually have it ran from the sink, just want something up front I can use
