Not quite as long, but Patrick Duffy was on Dallas for 14 seasons, then Step by Step for 7 seasons. So 21 total. If you count the Dallas revival, he passes ole Ed

I just watched lost for the first time last year and didnt really like it. I feel like a lot of what made lost great was the mysteries and the discussion around them when it first aired, with all the theories, etc. Binging it took a lot of that away as i didnt have to wait for a new episode or season to come out, just clicked next episode to see what happens.

I also felt like a lot of the mysteries werent resolved either at all or in a way that made any sense.

With it being 100+ episodes, id personally skip it and watch something else

I've never seen it and don't know what it's about. But if it's about a war, that can be more broad strokes and not focus on specific events that happened to specific people. It's nearly impossible to make a movie/show about a serial killer and everyone watching not be able to know exactly who the victim was in real life, even if they change names.

The announcer in their betting parlor is one of their guys, so may be the character you're remembering. They get the results via a ticker and then their guy reads them over the loudspeaker as if he's calling a live race. So it's not the track announcer you're hearing, it's one of the members of the crew.
