If external noise bothers you, then don't do it. I personally think you should stick to isolating headphones because you aren't going to be able to full immerse yourself in the audio with Imagine Dragons blasting in the background, just saying...

No, I want my roommates to hear my Selena Gomez binges. Nothing shows confidence like not caring what others think of your music taste. I only use closed-backs when I want to keep people OUT of my music.

Nothing wrong with liking a headphone. But, still hard to ignore how overpriced these are. Overpriced meaning they retail higher than people normally would be willing to pay for them, compared to other substitutes like the HD600/HD6XX. I'm no stranger to this, I love the Focal Elegia's and they retailed for $800 at one point. I'd say these are a buy 3 years from now when on sale for $300, but as is you will get more value by buying the 660S and equalizing.

People are always sleeping on earbuds. To this day, I still think my venture electronics zen 2.0 is my favorite audio product.

I love my HD 800S. It’s the same quality step-up from the HD 600 that the HD 58x to the HD 600 was. Personally like the tonality of the HD 600 the most for music, but the HD 800S is a great listen occasionally. I primary use them for gaming, and it’s such an immersive experience. Hard to justify the cost though, but I did only pay $900 for mine.
