So kids with shitty parents in regular public schools, and kids with involved parents in charter schools..interesting.

Public schools can remove a student from a program, but not from the school.

Who paid for busing? Usually students with IEPs have the right to special transportation if they need it.

Why does the DOE choose to do the opposite though? It seems they want to see public schools fail.

Parental involvement is a requirement for charter schools, but not regular public schools. Why is this?

Why does the DOE create the situation where charter schools can kick students out for behavior, but public schools can't?

They're a bad idea in NYC because too many people have no manners, and there won't be a way to get away from someone or something on these trains. I'm a lifelong NYer, and I won't take these trains if I don't have to.

It doesn't seem to matter that they don't know what constitutes a valid asylum claim, our government knows. If our government doesn't care, why should they?

They aren't sanctuary cities so they can report undocumented immigrants whereas NYC would not. Maybe the feds don't want these undocumented immigrants to be reported, so they support having them sent to sanctuary cities.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe retirees do go on Medicare at 65, and the city pays the 20% that Medicare doesn't cover.

You'd be surprised how many parents get upset about their children feeling stress over having to read whole books.

As I'm sitting here thinking about closing the valve because I don't have enough windows to open to cool my place down. People in my building have their air conditioners on right now.
