West Liberty Animal Hospital sees birds.

Source: my dog nearly lost his mind when we were there one time and the parrot waiting with his owner in the lobby started talking. 🤣

Crafton has a nice-size community garden and always welcomed volunteers, although most of the produce is donated to the Crafton-Ingram food bank. Not sure if you’re looking specifically for one where you keep some of the harvest.

What is the sq footage and age of your house, and what part of the state are you in, if you don’t mind me asking? We are going to need to replace our gas furnace at some point in the near-ish future and I’m interested in switching to a heat pump. We have the ductwork in place since we have forced air heat, but don’t have central air, so a heat pump seems like a win-win.

Same. And it’s stressful being in situations where I don’t want to mishear and inadvertently answer incorrectly, which in turn makes my auditory processing and working memory issues even worse. I hope these sort of accommodations become more widely used because I don’t think the average person realizes how many people would benefit.

Granted, it was an old row house and it was before Lawrenceville was THE hot neighborhood, but holy shit, I cannot believe that less than 15 years ago I was paying $750 a month in rent there and now some landlords are asking 6 times that.

Pierogi are easy once you get the right combo of textures with your dough and fillings. Potato and cheese should be tight enough to roll into a ball and hold its shape (think drier than normal mashed potatoes). Cabbage should be allowed to chill in the fridge so the butter solidifies and holds it together as you scoop it out with a spoon. Ditto prune - once it’s cooled it should be similar to a nice, spreadable jam. Your dough should be just the tiniest bit elastic and allowed to rest for at least 30 minutes before laminating it with flour through the dough roller a couple times and then rolling it into sheets for cutting. A washed out 28 ounce can is the perfect size for cutting the dough, and you gotta make sure they’re sealed completely (dip a fingertip in water and run it along half the circle of dough) when you crimp them shut.

Source: helped to make literally hundreds of pierogi yesterday.

Contact the game commission if you come across another dead raptor. They seem to be more susceptible to the current HPAI strains than other birds, from what I understand.
