Google gave that translation, in german it's Bohnenkraut, literally translated Bean herb.
An herb commonly used with green beans.

I fry them straight from the freezer with savory, pepper and salt.

You should fry them fairly long on either side before seasoning them with salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary and paprika.

I really don't get the appeal of this, just a bunch of incooked veggies in a broth, that's hardly cooking or am I missing something?

Fried onions, fried garlic, some tomato paste water, and some time to fry the onions and later the garlic, with salt and pepper
